How Much Time Is Spent On A Blog?

Every blogger has a different schedule that works for them. I am a stay at home mother, so I do what I can during the day while my husband is working plus take care of a household.

My husband works during the week and has off weekends. I try to work the same hours that he is working.

I’m 9 months pregnant right now with our second child and I know this schedule may change for a couple months.

Monday is my longest and busiest day. I feel that I spend my Mondays preparing and starting new things for the week. I also spend my Thursdays preparing and starting new things for the week to follow.

You really decide how much time you want to put into your blog. My first month, I spent several hours a day, 6 days a week building my blog. Now that it is established, my goal is to remain consistent with my content and building traffic.

I never want to get to that point of being burnt out from blogging, so I make sure to take a break when it is needed.

I am sure there is more that can be added to a blogging schedule once it becomes bigger-but I am not at that point… yet.

Make sure that you don’t overdo it and that you set aside time for yourself and family.

My Blogging Work Schedule:

  1. Thinking of new blog post ideas (it’s always on my mind! )

  1. This is interesting – and a bit depressing (I’m quite down with my blogging at this moment): I spend between 8 and 24 hours (net!) on a blogpost – conception, research, writing, editing, illustrating etc. etc. etc. and also much longer promoting my posts on social media. Actually, being very keen on keeping up a high journalist standard, i don’t see how to reduce the hours. #bloggingboost #bloggingboosters #byemyself #byemyselftravels #travelblog

    1. From what I’ve heard from other bloggers, a lot of time is put into their blog in the beginning. Then when they get to a comfortable spot in which they have a lot of content on their blog and an income, they cut back on the amount of posts they do. I haven’t reached that yet so I am not sure how that goes!
Best of luck to you and your blog 🙂
